About the work: Saint-Henri was, at the time of the Second World War, the largest working-class neighborhood in Canada. In Saint-Henri, these houses to which I pay homage date from the second half of the 19th century. These modest houses were owned by craftsmen (Saint-Henri-des-Tanneries) and became those of factory workers, a transition that took place in the decades before and after 1900.These houses are preserved and some restored and are part of the cultural heritage and history of Saint-Henri.
