About the work: This railroad crossing is part of the original railroad built in Montreal to accomodate the growing industries in Saint-Henri during the mid 19th century. It is still a major part of life in the neighborhood 150 years later. In this piece, I have attempted to capture the grittiness of the tracks against nature growing through and of course, the lights and shadows across the neighboring buildings.
